Okay, this is getting quite ridiculous. First I’m on Pinterest, then I’m on Twitter and now I’m on man’s most modern Pandora’s Box of late, Instagram.
Boy, for someone who says she wants to live in the 1950’s, I’m sure keeping up with the 21st Century.
But let’s, uh, ignore that fact, shall we? After all, I’m using the internet to write this blog in which I’m trying to Entertain, Educate and Preserve the Best Era Ever. It is what it is. Take it or leave it. Do or do not. There is no try. Wait, that last part I stole from Yoda.
So, if you want to see a lot of random photos of stuff around my house or you just need someone else to follow you, hit me up on IG. I’m really nice and I think everyone should have a chance to show off and have fun. In the old days you needed an agent for that! A disclaimer though, I DO use filters. I’m for sure no Marilyn or Audrey. I’m a big advocate of whatever’s easier on the eyes, and filters are 30+ gal’s best friend. 🙂
Now, let’s get back to the original topic. I have a lot of great things planned for the summer here at Retro Dee’s Guide to the Best Era Ever… I just need a few days to come up with them. I kid!
Coming soon… to a modern device near you (I use a MacBook Air, but I have the feeling that 80% of the public reads this stuff on their Smartphones) … A Birthday Tribute to the one of the most amazing musicians of all time… Mr. Bobby Darin! Also, I will be adding more to Collecting 1950’s, and hopefully another fab entry to 50’s Fashion Fix.
I will also be continuing my reviews of CDs. The next one will be a review of the first compilation I purchased on Amazon, “The Ultimate Rock n Roll Collection– The 50’s”
June will bring Peggy Sue’s Cruise to the streets of Santa Rosa, and while I can’t promise I’ll make it this year, I’m so close, I can almost smell the exhaust fumes.
And, the radio event of the summer: WCWP’s The Grooveyard Summer Song Survey! I may or may not reveal the songs I vote for this year… but I’ll defintely be voting and listening to the Best Oldies Radio Show of our time hosted by the amazing Alan Seltzer.
So stay tuned. Oh yeah! You can follow me on Instagram @mariepascal82 or if you prefer, Twitter @RealRetroDee . You can also follow me on Pinterest . In all honesty, I find Pinterest the most useful of the three, even though it’s the least narcissistic. It’s a great resource.
Oh and just so you know, Retro Dee does not use Facebook.
Have a lovely week, my dears….
