Hey folks! It’s Retro Dee and I just want to remind you that this year’s Great 88 Song Survey is in the Final Stretch!
That’s right! It’s time (right now!) to vote in The Final Round of The Grooveyard Great 88!
Voting for The Finals began on November 19, 2020. The polls will close on December 12, which means you only have 10 more days to cast your vote for your favorites.
To recap, Early Voting and The First Round began back in August/September. There were initially 9 categories, one for each year starting with 1955 through 1963.
Listeners could vote daily for up to 10 songs in each category. The results were posted as each section closed.
In the Final Round there are 3 more surveys:
1957 and before
1958 – 1960
1961 – 1963
The three Final Round surveys will allow listeners to vote for up to 15 songs in each category. (Each category has 100 songs to choose from!) Results from the 3 categories will be combined to determine the Top 88 songs (aka The Great 88!)
On December 26, 2020, DJ Alan Seltzer will host a special 5 hour edition of The Grooveyard when he’ll play the 88 songs that made the survey in the order they were voted for.
So VOTE HERE and don’t forget to Tune Into The Grooveyard the day after Christmas to get what you really wanted: some great oldies!
